Our Story

THE TRAVELING DUO…Or Trio, if you include our dog, Ace. We are Dave and Kayla, owners of Indigo Hail Repair. Long story short, we quit our corporate jobs and took on traveling and repairing hail damage as a full time “job.” Together we have 27 years experience in the field of Paintless Dent Repair, and it is true what they say, “two heads are better than one.”

We have traveled throughout the United States and Australia, assisting communities hit with hail producing storms, and have restored beauty to thousands of vehicles. We enjoy meeting new people and seeing different parts of the world. Our love for the automotive industry and helping others makes us strive for perfection on every repair, and sets us apart from the rest.

David

Founder of Indigo Hail Repair

Dave’s automotive journey started in 1999, learning PDR (Paintless Dent Repair), while attending Nashville Auto Diesel College (NADC). Dave began his official PDR career with Dent Wizard International in 2001, holding titles such as 5 Star Master Certified PDR Technician, Nationwide Corporate Trainer, International Hail Team Leader, Advanced Hail Team Trainer, and starring in several automotive TV commercials.

His PDR career has taken him to nearly all 50 states, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, United Arab Emirates & Australia. Dave founded Indigo Hail Repair in 2012, and continues to operate the business with his wife and co-owner, Kayla.

Dave loves to travel, meet new people, read, and hike with his dog Ace.

Kayla

Co-Owner of Indigo Hail Repair

Kayla grew up on a farm learning auto mechanics and farm equipment operations from her father. She began her formal automotive career in 2008, managing several Advanced Auto Parts locations in both Tennessee and Missouri. Kayla served as a Retail Store Manager, Procedures Trainer, Parts Installer, and holds a Retail Parts Pro Certification.

Kayla transitioned to the Autobody industry in 2011, becoming the assistant manager of an Autobody repair shop, after a catastrophic hail storm event. During this hail event she helped to facilitate the scheduling, estimating, quality control, and direct repairs for several major insurance companies. She also learned the art of PDR!

In 2016 Kayla began her career in the PDR industry. She has worked as a hail technician for several companies, such as Dent Wizard International in The United States and Wizard Automotive Systems in Australia. She joined Indigo in 2019 as co-owner with her husband, Dave.

Kayla loves traveling, reading, hiking, and spending time with her dog Ace.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had hail damage on my 2015 Subaru Crosstrek after a St. Louis storm, and I was honestly a little worried about how it would turn out—especially since it’s dark grey and shows every little imperfection.

Dave with Indigo Hail Repair did an amazing job. When he was finished, the car looked as good as new. You’d never know it had hail damage.

He was professional, detail-oriented, and clearly takes pride in his work. I wouldn’t hesitate to use him again and would definitely recommend him to anyone needing hail damage repair.
